We at Communities of Care want to wish all of our friends a very happy St. Patrick’s Day! The holiday began in honor of Saint Patrick himself, who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland and explaining the Holy Trinity with a three-leaf clover. The saint is believed to have died on March 17, 461 AD.
The Roman Catholics have celebrated the holiday since 1000 AD, but the first parade was in a Spanish Florida colony in 1601. Since then. the parties have only gotten bigger!
Today is a great chance to celebrate an Irish-American tradition and wear some festive green!
